Telamona archboldi Froeschner (Homoptera: Membracidae). A central Florida treehopper. Drawing by Mark A. Deyrup. -- Froeschner, R.C. 1968. Telamona archboldi, a new treehopper from Florida. Proc. Entomol. Soc. Wash. 70:154-155. The type specimen of this leafhopper was collected at Archbold Biological Station on 23-31 March 1964 by R. W. Hodges. "The species name is derived from the surname of Mr. Richard Archbold in recognition of his interest in and aid for science, not only through the establishment of this biological station, but also for his generous cooperation in various other scientific ventures.
