Introducing our colleagues
1. Allocate a reporter for each partner’s account.
- 2 minutes each. Within your institutional team group everyone report one "teaching tool" you use which you think is an effective example that begins to show students how to develop their own answers and investigations, ideally using a project in the field (outside the lab).
- Does this tie into any departmental strategy? Is there institutional support for such approaches?.
- 1 minute each. Then, with all 5 groups present, each reporter will (a) introduce the other person and their background and (b) explain the other person’s teaching tip.
Where do we already teach in the field?
2. Each group to complete a FL map showing all field sites used with students over last five years (each participant contribute). Gallery walk around maps. Each group to take 5 minutes to reflect (2-3 sentences) on which sites are used and why.
