Looking for something to read. A male io moth, Automeris io, (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) rests on the Library east door on the evening of 2 June 2005. In summer this moth is a regular evening visitor to the east doors of the Station's Main Building, and some remain on the doors, or nearby walls, for easy viewing the next morning. Caterpillars of this moth have urticating or "stinging" spines. Digital photo by Craig R. Beatty.
