Where do we already teach in the field in Florida?
TIME 30 minutes
Materials:
- 5 wall sized. paper maps of Florida. Post it notes for
everyone to add their course information to the maps.
Activity:
- Each institutional team annotated (writes on) a FL map
indicating the location of all field sites they have
individually used for teaching with students over last five
years (each participant contributed).
- Add Post-It notes including site, course name and level
and numbers of students onto map
- All groups conduct a Gallery walk around maps.
- Return to the whole group setting.
- Each group took 5 minutes to reflect (2-3 sentences) on which
sites are used and why.
- In future these maps could be used to determine whether the
location of field sites used by faculty has changed as a result of
being at the workshop.
