THINGS TO DO /BRING BEFORE YOU COME TO THE MAY WORKSHOP |
| Fill in the registration form faxed to you specifying lodging and food
needs |
| If you have not already done so please complete the one paragraph BIO of
yourself - and email to dcummings@archbold-station.org,
(we nearly have all) |
| Communicate with the other members of your institutional team about your
planned field project and review the information we will need your team to fill in for
this project see section on Institutional Field Project in the mailing, also
emailed to you as filename Teachingprojectform. |
| Let us know ASAP if there are any supplies or special materials that you
need us to organize for your field project. |
| Bring sensible outdoor clothes for May in Florida we will be
spending a lot of time in the field both Station and Ranch. Things are dry now but bring
all the usual water bottles, insect repellant, sunblock, hats, sensible walking
shoes/boots etc |
| Bring a laptop computer, if possible, at least one per institution |
| Bring camera, binoculars etc (optional) |
| Bring swimming stuff if you are up for a dip in Lake Annie. |
| Bring your NSF FIRST Workshop Archbold White Ring Binder |
| Bring the additional sheets and dividers we have mailed you for the MAY
FIRST workshop which should be PUT IN YOUR BINDER. |
| Take a few moments to remind yourself of the goals of this project (TAB
9) and check over the workshop schedule. Re-introduce yourself to the other participants -
bios for most participants have been mailed to you to put in your binders. |
| Review the evaluation material from the February workshop mailed to you |

should also have some of the May workshop info. posted on the Archbold web site before the
