Multi-stem base of mature plants.  Note the numerous seedlings underneath the parent plant.

 

Overtaking native vegetation on Red Hill

Typical fruit produce from these species.

 

 

Several hundred seeds from the fruit are released and travel considerable distances in the wind.  On Red Hill, seeds have been found > 400 yards from the nearest plant.


The five species of Strophanthus at the station produce very showy flowers.
