Skunk Vine (Paederia foetida)
Though this highly invasive plant has not been detected yet in Highlands County with most documented occurrences from north and north central Florida. It thrives in mesic hammocks and is twining vine that can grow into the top of the canopy.
Native to Asia, this plant has invaded many hammocks and mesic sites of central Florida. It is a highly aggressive plant that can grow to the top of the canopy, often sprawling > 50 feet.
