Job Title:        Maintenance Crew               Status:  Non-Exempt, Salary Grade: 3      
Department:   Operations                           Supervisor: Operations Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities_____________________________________________________

General Ground Maintenance

• Responsibilities include mowing, raking, edging, and weed-eating. Must be familiar with the use of riding mowers, walk behind mowers, gas or electric edgers and weed-eaters.

General Property Maintenance

• Responsibilities include trimming trails, fire-lanes, and walking paths. Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of tractors, disking, mowing, chainsaws, and hand held clippers. Ability to build fences and dig postholes manually.

Vehicle Maintenance

• Responsibilities include washing and detailing vehicles, doing minor repairs and servicing.

Building Maintenance

• Responsibilities include collecting garbage and trash, painting, washing buildings, cleaning roofs and gutters, repairing and replacing roofing materials, unclogging drains and septic tanks, changing air conditioner filters, servicing attic air conditioning units, moving furniture and beds, setting up the dinner canopy tent.

Prescribed Burns and Fires

• Required to work on controlled burns and wild fires. Must be familiar with the use of various types of fire fighting hand-tools along with operating the fire trucks. May also be required to work overtime, if need be to control fires/burns.

• Ability to work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
• Ability to work various shifts during occasional emergency situations, including evenings and weekends, with little or no notice.
• Frequent physical activities including lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, climbing and prolonged periods of sitting.
• Excellent stamina is required.

• Possess valid drivers’ license with good driving record as determined by Archbold’s insurance carrier
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or two years of appropriate experience and/or training
• Ability to work independently, with initiative, and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to interact with other personnel
