Sarah Beres joined Archbold's Avian Ecology program as an intern in 2023 and has since remained on the team as a Research Assistant. Currently, she works to organize data on the long-term Florida Scrub-Jay demography study and oversees interns both in the field and with their independent projects. Previously, her research investigated the impacts of human-inflicted stress on birds but more recently it has focused on territory dynamics in Florida Scrub-Jays. In the future, she hopes to continue studying the fluid and complex nature of territoriality and breeding behaviors in birds.
