Ring in 2026 with a 3/4 mile guided ecology hike led by Archbold's Director of Education, Dustin Angell. This walk through the Florida scrub highlights the natural cycles that shape our ecosystems and invites participants to reflect on the start of a new year through the lens of nature.

During the hike, we'll collect pine needles, Spanish moss, and dry twigs to create a small, contained fire at the end of the program. Participants will be invited to write down something they hope to leave behind in the new year and place their slip into the fire as a symbolic gesture.
