Christian Horn

Agroecology Research Intern

Christian Horn is a research intern in the Agroecology Lab at Archbold’s Buck Island Ranch. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, with a focus on plant sciences, from the University of Central Florida. Since graduating, Christian has worked with multiple agencies, contributing to ecological monitoring projects across Nevada’s federal lands and surveying rare plant populations in the Mojave Desert. Now shifting his focus to entomology, he is studying the effects of sod removal on underground invertebrate activity and soil health at Archbold. During Florida’s long wet season, Christian looks forward to collecting and identifying the diverse insects captured in his subterranean pitfall traps. To more bugs!
