About this project:
In this study, we examine the structure and dynamics of zooplankton communities in response to water quality gradients of wetlands across Archbold's Buck Island Ranch. By focusing upon key taxa - rotifers, cladocerans, copepods, and ostracods - we assess these zooplankton's potential as bioindicators to different water quality parameters. By using species composition, abundance, and diversity as metrics, we investigate how zooplankton communities shift in relation to nutrient levels and other environmental factors. This study seeks to explore the weird and wonderful microscope world of zooplankton and their role in reflecting wetland health.
