Nature Journaling

A three-part series exploring art & science through journaling

Session 1: January 20, 2024

Session 2: February 17, 2024

Session 3: March 30, 2024

Time: 10:00-11:30am

Location: Archbold Biological Station, Frances Archbold-Hufty Learning Center

Cost: $5 per person (each session)

Nature journaling combines art and science - making observations and recording the natural world around us with drawings, words, and data. Each session, we will explore nature with a short hike, practice our observation skills, and capture our discoveries in our journals. No prior experience or artistic talent required – all you need is curiosity and a love for the outdoors! All basic supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own preferred materials. This activity is suited for all ages; however, please note that our trails are not suitable for strollers or wagons.

Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes or boots, and long pants. Be prepared to hike in loose sugar sand. Parts of the trail may be muddy.
