FIELD DAYS FOR PRODUCERS AND LAND MANAGERS
Sustainable ranching experience
Field days at Buck Island Ranch offer groups the chance to discuss sustainable ranching—and experience a swamp buggy tour. Tours can be geared towards the individual group's interest with notice.
Climb aboard a swamp buggy for a tour of a Florida cattle ranch and ecology research center. Archbold’s Buck Island Ranch is a 10.5 thousand acre cow-calf operation with 3,000 head of cattle. Visitors learn about the ranch’s mission of ecological, economic, and cultural sustainability while driving through miles of pasture, prairie, and hammock. Visitors often see alligators, Crested Caracara, Red-shouldered Hawks, feral hogs, and deer.
The Ranch is only open to visitors with scheduled tours.
These private events are only available for groups who have scheduled with us. Check our calendar of events for public tour dates at Buck Island Ranch.
