Esteban is a research intern in the Archbold Avian Ecology Program doing their independent project on nest micro-habitat preferences in Florida Scrub-Jays. As an intern, he also contributes to the long term demographic monitoring of Florida Scrub-Jays at Archbold Biological Station. He is interested in avian ecology and behavior, as well as other taxa including insects and herpetofauna. He is driven to learn more about the complex networks comprising ecosystems and how they can be protected through his research.
