Greg Thompson, B.S.
Research Assistant IV
Greg grew up in central Florida and fell in love with the ecosystems of the region. He attended the University of Central Florida and majored in Environmental Studies. He started working for Archbold at the Avon Park Air Force Range in 2013. He has worked extensively with the Florida Grasshopper Sparrow project, and now leads Red-cockaded Woodpecker monitoring and management at the range. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Florida’s natural areas and learning to identify species from other taxonomic groups.
