Zigeng Chen is a postdoctoral researcher in the Agroecology Lab, working with the USDA Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) Network on a project to calculate and compare the Net Ecosystem Carbon Balance across several LTAR sites. Zigeng received his master’s degree in the Colorado State University working on the UV-B radiation on the growth of sweetpotato. He received his PhD from South Dakota State University, working on the net ecosystem exchange on the grassland for four years. Zigeng is interested in the global change and ecosystem ecology, soil carbon and nitrogen cycling in the rangeland ecosystems.
