Climb aboard an 18 seater swamp buggy for a tour of a Florida cattle ranch and ecology research center. Archbold’s Buck Island Ranch is a 10.5 thousand acre cow-calf operation with 3,000 head of cattle. Visitors learn about the ranch’s mission of ecological, economic, and cultural sustainability while driving through miles of pasture, prairie, and hammock. Visitors often see alligators, caracara, red-shouldered hawks, feral hogs, and deer. The Ranch is only open to visitors with scheduled tours.
